Desk and task lighting designs require small, compact solutions. For adjustable arms, lighting fixture pivot points, and rotating bases, these need to adjust easily, but hold in position. Reell offers several torque dense solutions allowing designers to create streamlined, aesthetically pleasing pivot points for adjustable lighting.
Reell torque inserts, such as the compact TI320 press directly into the pivot point along the axis of rotation, allow designers to hide the torque element completely. Or consider an over-molded, black plastic TI120 which works well in plastic or cast housings and adds an element of axial retention to the design. Torque inserts from Reell are available in multiple sizes and configurations across a wide range of torque values, making it easy to conform to a variety of design constraints, materials, and fixture sizes.
Reell’s small scale PHA was designed with lighting mind. With several potential mounting options, the PHA works well for lightweight lighting designs with thin arms or wall sections. The mounting holes allow for surface mounting with fasteners and the thin wall section of the mounting tabs can be easily embedded into the rotating arms or components.
For infinite positioning and rotation of a light fixture, consider the SJ series of spherical joints. The SJ300 is ideally sized for mounting a lighting head because it provides the user the ability to position along the x and y axis and allows for 360° rotation.
